Add subfolder/conditional folder names according to field data for box.com integration.

Asked by crsslo on July 19, 2013 at 06:48 PM

We have two business locations.  We create a file upload form.  The user selects their preferred location.  We need our files to be put into our box.com folder  - File Upload > Location > Form Data to keep them seperate.

Or, if there was a way to have multiple files uploaded automatically zipped together.  Then we could just use email notifications to keep the locations seperate and download the zip as sometimes there are a lot of files that we would need to download one at a time.

    Thank You

    Hi,

It seems you cannot do this using a single form only.

You may want to try using 2 similar forms and then provide the form URL separately to each users according to their location.
Just point the Box.com submissions for each form to 2 differrent folder you had setup in your Box.com account.

During the form creation and integration, make sure you give the folder name according to location (so, different folder name for each of the 2 form )

    Example:

    Form 1 - assign JFBox1 folder

    Form 2 - assign JFBox2 folder

A sub-folder will be created within the JFBox folder for each submissions. This will further give you details about who/where the submission came from.

    ---

From what I know so far, you cannot point the submssions to a sub-folder you created in Box.com. It was always on the root or main path in Box.com.

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

Since we would be making changes to this form often, we were hoping to keep it to one form as not to make each change twice, but I guess as of now that is the only path for us.

Are there any plans to add subfolder and/or multiple folder support?  We would also like the ability to name submission folders using the data from more than one field.

    Thank You

The other product we are evaluating, formstack.com uses a box integration that includes this type of support.  Are there any plans to add this to jotform.com?
