Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, Service Organizations, is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A service auditor's examination performed in accordance with SAS No. 70 (also commonly referred to as a "SAS 70 Audit") is widely recognized, because it represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities, which often include controls over information technology and related processes. In today's global economy, service organizations or service providers must demonstrate that they have adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data belonging to their customers.

I also have questions over the security of the information you store for us (your clients).

How long do you store the data on your servers?

Can we copy the data and delete it from your servers?

I'm assuming you have backups of the data...how long is that backup stored?

What happens if our data is compromised while on your servers?

    Hi,

Submission data is stored as long as the account exists, which means the user must comply to our Terms to enjoy continuous service, be it free or paid.

Yes, data can be copied and deleted from our server. There are multiple ways on how to achieve this. One of the easiest ways is to export the data into CSV or Excel files.

As for your last two questions, I believe our level 2 support are more capable of giving you proper answers. With that in mind, I have submitted a ticket for this issue to have your questions answered in the soonest time possible. Thank you for your patience.

Do you have a SAS 70?

No, we do not have SAS 70 Audit.

How long do you store the data on your servers? I'm assuming you have backups of the data...how long is that backup stored?

Our backups might be stored upto 1 year.

Can we copy the data and delete it from your servers?

Yes, you can download the data as a report and then delete your submissions. The only copy left will be some offsite secure backups.

What happens if our data is compromised while on your servers?

JotForm is a 5 year old product and we have not had anything like that in this time. But if something like that happens, we will promptly notify you.
