    Is there a way to email TWO Unique IDs to people who fill out form?

    Asked by kungo on July 20, 2013 at 09:24 PM

    Hello --

    I have my form set up to send a unique ID (used as a raffle number) to anyone

    who fills out the form.

    We want to give a free raffle number with each one purchased. Is there a way to
    include an additional unique ID (that is different than the 1st one)?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Yes, you just need to add another Unique ID and set different prefix, current index and number padding. Here's how:

    Also, make sure to include that unique id tag in your autoresponder if it's not automatically added as explained by my colleague on your previous thread.

    Thanks!

    Thank you EltonCris, but you didn't include any instructions after "Here's how"

    EltonCris, I had tried to add another ID before I posted the question (and just tried again) and a message always pops up that says:

    "You cannot add more than one Unique ID. Please delete the existing one first."

    Please advise.

    @kungo

    You are right. I am truly sorry for the wrong information, I just realized it is not possible to add two unique ID's on form.

    I think the best way to achieve this is to use and modify your form source code. Apply custom javascript codes that generates random characters that would serve us the 2nd unique ID. If you'd like to go to this route, let us know so we can assist you. Note that this requires a little bit techy stuff but we can provide you all the scripts and instructions.

    Let us know. Thanks!

    @kungo

    I think there's another way without using your form source code. Let me check this first and provide to you the instructions. Stay tuned!

    Ok,

    I just checked your form and you are currently using {yourRaffle} tag in your 2nd raffle. Instead of that, use {id}, this is actually your form submissions ID but you can use this as your 2nd unique ID. This generates a long string of numbers, probably 16 numbers. They are unique, so this is best for your 2nd unique ID.

    Give it a try, test it and let us know if you have more questions. Thanks!

    OK, thank you -- but the 2nd number will look different from the first (no prefix). Is there a way to add a prefix to the second number ?

    Never mind, Elton -- It occurred to me to simply type in the
    prefix before the  "{id}" -- and it works fine.

    Thanks again! Have a great night.
