Taking credit card details through JotForm?

    Hello,

My company is currently selling reoccurring subscriptions and using Stripe for all of our payments.

Everything is working well until a customer want's to update the credit card details and/or their address on file. Right now the only way for us to get this sensitive information is through phone and update it right away.

However, I was wondering if it would be possible (and safe/legal) so build a form through your platform that I can link to my customers when they want to make any updates.

Is that something other companies are doing and what's your thoughts on this?

    Looking forward to your reply,
    Rasmus

Hello Rasmus! Thank you for contacting us. We understand that your need is genuine but kindly note that we do not allow collection of credit card information through our forms.

Collection of credit card information goes against our terms. I'll paste the snippet from our Terms page here:

I’m sorry to hear that. Thank you.
Should you know of any other options for collection sensitive information like this that’s safe and legal other that over the phone?
    Thanks,
    Rasmus

Sorry, but we do not have any option or do not allow the collection of any such sensitive information.

However, if you are collecting information such as social security numbers, driving license numbers, you can do so, if you enable form encryption and/or also add the necessary security measures on the form.
