How do I build an approval workflow?

So here is what I have for notifications and conditions. What am I missing or is this right?

What I am looking to do is created a form that is:

    1. The top portion is completed by the requestor.

    2. Once that is completed, they receive their normal confirmation email. In addition to that, an email is sent to myself - some hidden fields are unhidden and I can edit the form to complete those fields.

    3. Once I complete those fields, an email is sent to our Exec Dir. More hidden fields are unhidden and he can approve or deny the request, sign and date the form.

    4. Once he has signed the form, an email is sent to me, the final hidden fields are unhidden and I can then go back in and complete the final field finalizing the process.

    Is that workflow process possible?

May we know what fields you want to unhide at each step/(2,3,4)? We will help you configure the conditions for you.

You have to write conditions and put an edit link with respect to each step so that fields get unhidden at each step.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks.

Hi! Thank you for your help. So I'm not worried about the unhiding of fields - they can all be visible at all times - that's not a big deal. Here's what we are looking to do.

Here is the current form I am working on: https://form.jotform.com/202174273144044

    Stipend Request Form

    1. Requestor fills out the require fields in the top portion of the form

    2. An email is sent to the requestor letting them know we received their submission AND I (metg@metg.org) receive an alert with a link to go in and edit the form.

    3. I edit the form, filling in the Event, Location, Date, Role, and Stipend Amount.

    4. Once those are all filled in, an email is sent to dcanty@metg.org with a link to go in and edit the form.

    5. He goes in and fills out the Request Status, Signature, Title.

    6. Once those are filled in, an email is sent to me (metg@metg.org) with a link to go in and edit the form.

    7. I go in and fill in the remaining fields (Amount Distributed, Check Number, Date of Payment).

The screen shots above are what I currently have set up in emails and conditions. I am not sure if I am on the right path or am totally off.

    To further brief the steps:

    1. Add the submit button at the end of the form after the METG use section so that there would be a common submit button which would be shown when the form is edited as well as when the form is opened for the first time.

    2. Add the condition that if Get Page URL contains "edit" then only show the rest of the fields:

    3. For the below 2 points you need to configure this condition:

*I edit the form, filling in the Event, Location, Date, Role, and Stipend Amount.

*Once those are all filled in, an email is sent to dcanty@metg.org with a link to go in and edit the form.

    4. for these 3 points below you do not need to configure any condition to trigger an email as you are already having the default email configured to email you the notification. You just need to enable the Send on Edit feature so that whenever the form is edited it would be emailed to you:

    * He goes in and fills out the Request Status, Signature, Title.

    * Once those are filled in, an email is sent to me (metg@metg.org) with a link to go in and edit the form.

    * I go in and fill in the remaining fields (Amount Distributed, Check Number, Date of Payment).

The edit link would be there in the Notification 1(sent to you every time) and Notification 2(conditional email triggered to dcanty@metg.org)

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.
