Auto responder changes after submission

Hi. I’ve read a few support cases which suggest that any auto responders created AFTER submission aren’t triggered, even if they are set in the future.

Does that suggest that the system schedules all created auto responders at point of submission? eg: even if the auto responder exists prior to submission and is scheduled for days in the future, any text amends to the email after submission won’t take affect?

    Thanks

Hi, that is correct, the Autoresponder will work only with new submissions, that includes enabling the Send Email Later option.

Regarding editing the email content, to be honest, it is not something that I have tested before, but it should not interrupt the scheduled sending day, and the content should include the latest update. I have done a submission in one of my forms just to double-check, I'll know this for sure tomorrow.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Update: new edits will not be included in the original email content. If you edit the email content of an Autoreponder(that is configured to be sent at a later time) after receiving the submissions, the new content will not be included.
