Form not working on Google SitesAsked by lhumc on August 01, 2013 at 01:04 PM
Our web content editor says that he followed the instructions from your website to embed a JotForm I created into Google Sites. However, It's not functioning. The screenshot shows that there's a title with a rectangle box below. However, clicking on it does nothing. This is my first try at JotForm and your product was recommended to us for ease of use. So, any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Thank you for contacting us.
Have you used the 'Google Sites' embedding method from our Embed Form Wizard?
Currently your https://sites.google.com/site/lhumchurch/ page is not showing any form. Is there any other page that we can check to see the issue?
I got the form working. It works great! Notifications are being received and Google Spreadsheet is tracking the transactions. Also, I don't have to worry about spam unless the bots care to make a PayPal donation to the church because the transaction is only recorded upon a successful purchase/donation.
The updated link is at https://sites.google.com/site/lhumcforms/donations/car-show-registration if anyone cares to see it.
SOLUTION: There were some steps left out of the list of online instructions that we figured it out by watching the video of how to embed the form to Google Sites. Just under the FormID field, you must also adjust the display width and height to match your form. The form width can be found while editing your form, select the Setup & Embed tab. Next select the Preferences icon. Under the Form Styles tab you'll find your form width. Enter this number into the display width field. (I'd like to see Form Length added under Form Styles as well.) Then make sure to select the option to add a scrollbar when necessary. I removed the next two check boxes for border and title simply out of preference.
Hi! That's wonderful to hear that it is working now. Thank you for providing an in-depth solution on how you were able to fix it. I'm sure this would be helpful to other users with similar problems. Again, thanks!
I'm having the same issue with Google sites. I used the embed > google sites and the steps given above but I still end up with a blank on my page.
Kindly create a new thread for your particular issue so that we may be able to provide you further support. This way we may also avoid having any confusions with what has already been discussed on this thread. Thank you.
