Is it possible to split a field in the pdf file name?

Is it possible to split a field in the pdf file name? Example: I have an address field and only want to use the first address line in the PDF file name. I know I can do this in the PDF document by using {address:addr_line1} but this doesn't seem to work in the file name.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. You can only set the PDF file name using the full unique name of the field.
