display order of responses to searches

Asked by MacSkip on May 13, 2011 at 06:15 PM

May 13, 2011 -- I just did a search for "submissions" and received 8 pages of hits.  They were in no obvious order.  The first one was June 2010, followed byAug'10, then June'10, then Apr'10, July'10, etc.etc.  Why are they not in order of last-in, first-out"?  I don't see a way to request a specific order (by latest date, earliest date, alphabetical, etc.).  Is there something I can do, or is it just the way it is?

    Hi MacSkip

I'm afraid the search function on this forum is rather limited and I, like you, would certainly like to have the ability to sort (ascending and descending) by date, author, number of views and so on.

The most I can do is put in a request for this functionality but I cannot tell you if or when it will be implimented.

    Thanks for asking.

I had the same problem with my forms. I don't know if I have already said that but this problem could be solved whith an additional date format "AAAAMMDD". At this point, the 2 possibilities for date format in jotform are "DDMMAAAA" or "MMDDAAAA". Is it possible to add a 3th possibility "AAAAMMDD"?

I believe that your question does not have anything to do with the original topic of this thread. As such, I advise you to open a new thread for your issue. This is to allow for a more efficient and focused support discussion concerning your query.
