Problem using PayPal with a service payment. Tax is added but should not be.

Asked by Larrymes on August 14, 2013 at 03:15 PM

In our state sales tax is due for produts but not the types of servies our company privides. I just changed our jotform to accept PayPal for services and discovered that PayPal added sales tax. How can I prevent PayPal adding sales tax to services. Is my only option to NOT use the integrate PayPal payment option to my forms?

We also sell products where sales tax should be added, however in our state the tax rate is determined by the location the product moves fromt the seller to the buyer.

Hello Larrymes, This is actually something that we do not have any control or features to control this at the moment. To correct this you will have to log back into your PayPal Account and turn your Taxes off in the Settings. To my knowledge this should be configurable from your Selling Online Section.
