At my job, I use jotform so that parents can fill out a form to register their children for childcare. I have had a couple parents refuse to fill out a form because it is not secured. Is this the case or is jotform secured? and what company is it secured through?

Yes, you can now have your forms and form submissions transmitted securely with a 256 bit High-grade encryption. You can use secure URL feature by following this guide: Setting Up a Secure or SSL Form. But note that Free Accounts can only receive up to 10 SSL Submissions per month, you may consider upgrading your account to our Paid Plans to have a higher limits.
I would also suggest enabling Security Seal to your form so they can see how secure is your form. Please refer to this guide: Enabling Security Certificate Seal on Secure Forms.
