Error - Invalid Form URL when clicked edit button of thank you message (Confirmation workaround)Asked by pepjf on September 01, 2013 at 08:20 PM
I have a form that I got some help with from the JOT support folks. I was testing it out and noticed that the edit button is not functioning properly. When I click on it, I was thinking it would take the user back to the form so that they can edit their entries if needed, but I get a message "invalid form" see attached jpeg file as the form link.
form link message hello attached
The error you are seeing is due to the form url (for edit button) you have mentioned in your thank you message.
JotForm domain where you have your forms created is "www.jotform.co" but on click of your edit button you are redirecting your user to "www.jotform.com" domain and hence you are seeing this error.
I have fixed this in your form and now if you click the "Edit" button, you should not get the "Invalid Form URL" error message.
Another issue I found is that you haven't added any code in your thank you message for "Send" button. May be you are still working on it.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Ashwin for helping with this.
For the Send button, when I clicked it, it's going to the "www.example.com" But I would actually want it to just want it to say "Your order has been received, Enjoy". Not sure how to do that, can you please assist?
In order to display the message "Your order has been received, Enjoy", you should create a new page in your own hosting server and add that url in your "Send" button.
There is one more alternative to this: You can create a new form in your JotForm account and add Free Text (HTML) question and customize it to display the thank you message. You can use this form url in your "Send" button code. Essentially you need to just replace the http://www.example.com with the new url to display the appropriate message.
Thank you, that's a great idea.I'll do thay now.
I'm very pleased that I was able to help you.
