Keep membership acces after cancellation until lapse date of payment

I'm utilizing Stripe with React and Node.I need to have a catch for clients to have the option to drop their membership.Yet, when a client presses the catch I would prefer not to drop the membership immediately. I need to drop it and erase them from my information base on the lapse date of their membership so they can in any case approach their capacities until the termination date. In my understanding, you need to have a place were cancelled members names are collected and that looks up the members' cancellation date to disable the membership capacities on that date. Correct?
