Disable the Form Until a Certain Date

Asked by AlpineInternational on September 10, 2013 at 10:45 PM

How do I disable a form until a certain date?  From a programming side, I would prefer to keep the source code of the jotform registration form on my website but simple disable one from being able to sign up until a certain date.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Susan,

We have that feature on forms. Here's how: How to Limit Submissions in a Form. Check the Expiration Date part.

    Hope this helps. Thanks!

Hi, Thank you but I'm not looking to limit the number of submissions, rather I'm looking to disable the form until a certain date, then on that date, the form is available to have people begin to register.  Let me know if further clarification is needed.

Hello, unfortunately the Form Limits only provide an Expiration Date Limit, I will go ahead and raise a feature request. Now I can't provide an ETA nor promise this feature will ever be implemented. Nevertheless, you have pointed out a very important question, one that the Development Team should evaluate.

In my opinion, what I would do to leave the form available yet not submittable on the site. I would remove the submit button from the Form Editor and save it "as is" in the mean time. Until the date that you need the form working, go back into your Form Editor and drag the submit button back in to your form. Maybe also leaving a Heading on the button stating the Form will be enabled until X date.

Unless one of my colleagues has any other insight managing such scenario, that is the option I would suggest.

If you need any additional assistance, do let us know.

I understand and makes sense.  Thank you for having your Development Team consider this enhancement!

Thank you for adding this feature.

However, I am concerned about the time zone of the deadline time. How can I specify the timezone?
