Do we need to have an input field for email or the form shall automatically collect?

Is there an initial step that must be taken to capture emails? Do we have to provide a place on the form for them to input it, or will it automatically collect the email address before completing the form?

It is required to add an email address field on your form so that the user can input their email address manually. The email address cannot be populated automatically from a login. However, you may populate the form fields from the form URL.
