Is it possible to process a entry in a form through a second review from another person?

Asked by benjaming on September 18, 2013 at 01:29 PM

This might be quite difficult... Or challenging, I hope :-)

This is what I want to do...

I have developed a tool for incident and accident reports in outdoor programmes. We ask our trainers and volunteers to fill in such a report whenever they encounter an accident or a close-call. Every time a report comes in, it may lead to different responses. For instance we need to change the procedures of an acitivity or we might to have to inform all our trainers or we might want to organize or adapt a specific training.

Either way, we need to document the way we handle our incidents and how they interact with our safety policy.

The most easy way to do so, is to be able whenever a report comes in, to have a few more questions filled in by our safety-officer, before saving the data. Meaning that every form would in the end have two respondents on two different parts of one form.

I hope I'm making myself clear? Any idea if this is feasible?

    Hi,

You can provide your users with the submission edit link, once the first info is submitted they will get an "edit link", you can place this edit link at your form thank you page or at the email autorespond.

please could you check this guide about providing users with an edit link

    Hello,

Thanks for your kind and fast reply. This helps, however not yet to complete satisfaction… :)

The thing is that I want somebody else than the user fill in some additional data, based upon what the user gave as input.

The concrete case being that an accident report is coming in, and needs to be processed by the safety manager. He needs to take action, based on the analysis of the report, and needs to document the steps he took. This means that after a report comes in, he should be able to answer a few more questions, linked to the same survey, but without any interaction with the user who first filled in the form.

    Hope I'm making myself clear?

Yes, this is possible. Just create an additional notification and enter the safety manager's email address in its Recipient E-mail field. Remove the {edit_link} tag from the autoresponder and insert one in the new notification.

    Please see this guide.

If anything's unclear, we would be glad to explain further.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for your fast reply.

I'm aware of the possibility of sending another notification. That's not my concern. My question is if it is possible to add    some questions to a form, that can be filled in by our safety manager, after a user submitted a form. This means that for every submission two different users fill in two different parts of one form.

I hope this makes it clear?

    Hi,

You can try using the condition logic (guie: Smart-Forms-Using-Conditional-Logic) together with the Edit Link

Here is a test form http://form.jotformpro.com/form/32657555924969? you can try.

Provide your email in the email address so that you can received the notification with the edit link to the form and the access code. The access code is actually "safetymanager" but you can inform the manager about it via the auto email.

Please tell us if this will not work for you.

    Thanks.
