Setting up email notifications

    Hi Guys

    I'm trying to set up email notifications for when my forms have been filled out, but the 'E-mail' field option under 'Sender email' isn't showing up.  The options it is allowing me to receive email notifications from are 2 jotform email addresses, or add a specific Sender Address.  The wizard doesn't seem to be picking up the 'E-mail' field froms the form I am working in! Help!

    Hi,

    I'm not quite sure if I understood your concern correctly, What you want to happen is that you want the "Email" field of your form to populate under "Sender E-mail" so by selecting the "Sender E-mail" you will see and be able to choos the "Email" field, right?

    If that's the case that option is no longer available for new forms you can use the "Add Sender Address" and you can setup your own SMTP. Please take a look at this guide.

    Let me know if I was able to address your concern.

    Mmmmm. So I'm setting up the notification that we get when someone fills out our form. According to the user guide video one of the selectable options here, under "Sender E-mail Address", should be the e-mail field from the form I have created. 

    When I go to the drop down options of this part I only have the choice to have the notification come from a jotform address, or I have to set up a specific sender email address - which of course will be different every time someone fills in the form, so how can I know? 

    Under the section "Reply to E-mail" I do have the option of having this populated by the e-mail field from my form.

    I'm not sure if I'm just confused about a non-issue here?

    Actually, I think I've worked it out & yes, it's a quirk in my understanding of how this works. I've managed to make a test work the way I wanted it to (ie; from the email address of the person filling out the form) and it's all good.

    OK, now what doesn't seem to be working is the Auto Responder email to the person who fills out the form.  I just did a test run via the website the form will be on & the email hasn't arrived yet (about 10 minutes has elapsed).  When I go into the wizard the Auto Responder has a little cog over it - what does this mean?

    Hi,

    Have your tried this steps already in setting your Autoresponder? That cog is just an icon to identify that the notification is an Autoresponder. May I know which form you are working on?
