    Form not working properly on mobile devices

    Asked by Nedda on September 22, 2013 at 07:18 AM

    Hi,

    The form i made works fine on pc/mac, but i have a problem with mobile devices (iPhone 4): The form shows up correctly, but i am unable to press the 'send' button. I tried with both safari and chrome, none of that worked. I am using iweb to publish my site, but i already tried implementing iFrame code instead of the iWeb one (which solution worked last time i had this problem), but i still can't press send button. Can you help me? Thanks.

    I made a test and wasn't able to recreate the issue on my end. I tried to use an iPhone 4 and android to fill up the form and was able to make 2 successful submission. Have you tried using a different mobile phone?

    i even tried redoing the form from scratch, nothing changed...

    Hello,

     I would suggest to re-embed your form using iframe embed code. This should help fixed this issue. Getting the Form iFrame Code

    if not working.
    Please try to inject this custom mobile CSS query to your form:

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){

    .form-textbox, .form-textarea {

    width: 250px;

    }

    }

    Follow this guide on how to inject this codes

    1. Click Setup & Embed

    2. Preference

    A new window will pop-up.

    3. Then click Form Styles

    4. And paste the code under Inject Code CSS box.

    ]

    And then close that window and you're done.

    Kindly check if that could fix the issue.

    If problem persists please do let us know so that we could further investigate.

    Thank you for using JotForm. :)

    @Nedda

    That's the usual behavior of the iWeb footer page, it has higher z-index priority that's why some elements can't be clicked when it passes the footer boundary. I can even replicate it on Mac/PC when I moved the the submit button.

    Anyway, try the following, this might help fixed it.

    Fix 1: Drag and increase the HTML Snippet's height so when the form changes its length, they don't pass the footer line. Make sure to increase your form iframe height as well.

    Example: 600px would be enough.

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="//form.jotform.co/form/32643148965866" frameborder="0" style="width: 100%; height: 600px; border: none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

    Fix 2. If the above solution doesn't work, try this one.

    Open your contattaci.html to notepad or any other editing tools you may have.

    Find this footer ID:

    footer_layer

    Before it, under "Style" attribute, change  z-index: 15  to z-index: 3

    Hope this helps. Thanks!
