    Align Back and Next Button to bottom right and retain position without jumping.

    Asked by bigbudgie on September 23, 2013 at 03:25 AM

    Hello,

    I have made a multipage form which is working fine however the next and back buttons move and re-align themselves when you go to the  next page of the form. The buttons (back and nbext are also too far apart and I woild like them closer together.

    I would like to realign the bottons next to each other at the bottom right of my form with padding of "X" and the buttons to not move or "jump" as the user goes through the form.

    Many thanks for your help

    Hello,

    Please add the following rules to the form's current injected CSS and let us know if it helps:

    .form-pagebreak-back-container {
    position: absolute;
    left: 360px;
    }

    .form-pagebreak-next-container {
    position: absolute;
    right: 35px;
    }

    Thanks

    HelloMany thanks for you reply.
    Unfortunately, It does not seem to work when I put it in to my site.
    In preview (jotform site) all seems OK
    However when I embed the code in to my site the buttons do not appear.
    If I copy the source code in to my site the button appear (in the desired position - right aligned), however they do not function when you click them.
    I would appreciate any thoughts.
    many thanks

    Hi again,

    I was just about to reply that I noticed that it wasn't working on your site. However, I think I've found the cause. Try amending the injected CSS as follows and let us know if it helps:

    #form-pagebreak-back_8 {
    display: none;
    }

    .form-pagebreak-back-container {
    position: absolute;
    left: 360px;
    width: 80px !important;
    }

    .form-pagebreak-next-container {
    position: absolute;
    right: 35px;
    }

    Thanks

    Oh dear me! I see that that solution didn't help either.

    Back to the drawing board ...

    Hello again!
    Thanks for thinking of me!
    I have tried the new code and unfortunately it is the same, either no buttons when embedded or if I try using the source code I can see the buttons but they do not function.
    In the preview (jotform site) as before, all seems well but when I up load it it fails to work. (I have uploaded it again so you can see)
    I look forward to hearing from you, thanks for your perseverance.
    Regards

    Try replacing the script with its iFrame equivalent:

    There may be a conflict between the web page's scripts and those of the form, as explained in this guide.

    Hi,The problem with the iframe is that it extends past the end of my pages and I end up with a long blank area on my websites: unless I can restrict the size of the iframe to the size of the form, is that possible?
    Many thanks

    Hi again,

    In the iFrame code, you'll see height:1356px. Change the value to around 350px and see if it makes a difference.
