Feature Request - My Forms View - Drag & Drop of FormsAsked by markashton on September 25, 2013 at 04:54 PM
The dealbreaker with the new interface is the fact that you can't organise anything ... unless it is alphabetical.
So .. its fundamentally flawed.
I want drag and drop ... and to be able to organise folder and forms the way I want ...
Until then I won't touch it ... total dealbreaker I'm afraid.
Is any work being done on this?
We have the Drag and Drop on the new My Forms page, but this is designed to work with Folders. It is possible to drag the forms into your folders in order to organize them.
Another option that we have is Sort By:
Do you need some kind of Custom Sort By option where you can Drag and Drop your forms?
Ok ... I'm going to move to the new view as the old is not supported any more
So, can I officially request the ability to drag and drop forms in folders to different positions i.e. one's own hierarchy.
I know we can drag and drop forms to a different folder - that is working nicely ... I am taliking about within the same folder to different positions.
That would be most useful ... can you advise me if this is in the pipeline please?
I totally understand what you are pertaining to. I will be opening a ticket to request it, and if an increasing number of people request the same thing, our developers might consider to add it in the next round of integrations. Thank you for your suggestion.
Forget other people ... they won't bother.
You had it in your old version which I used more than any other feature ... happily dragging and dropping forms ,,,, this was available 3 years ago ...
Now in your wisdom you've released a new view with half the functionality.
Its hopeless at the moment ... let me tell you ...
This isn't a "nice to have" request ... its a critical one.
I don't mean to sound rude but get it done please.
Bottom line ... you've pushed a new view on us where you force us to use your assumed ideas of priority ... they are crap ... I want to do what I did with the last view - nothing less nothing more - totally customisable.
Many Thanks Mark
Your input has been submitted, at this time we are unable to provide you an ETA for if an when this feature would be implemented. First the Development Team has to evaluate the best course of action to take, based on their current roadmap. Once the Developer Team has an update, their update will be posted on this thread. I can assure you though, this is being looked at closely.
Once again, thank you for your input.
Fair enough ... there is some stuff to like about the new view ... I'm sure it's not an easy job
The drag and drop functionality is there for files to folders .. just not that "within a folder thing"
Thanks for flagging it ... I'll keep an eyeout
Any input on it's functionality is surely welcome.
Of all the sort criteria that I want ... I think the ability to darg and drop forms in the same folder to the position you want is the most desirable.
Can this be flagged up again. I prefer this more than "last edit" "new submission" etc
The feature request is still open -no updates as yet.
In the meantime, you can still access that feature using an older version of 'MyForms' found here: http://www.jotform.com/page.php?p=myforms
I however imagine you want that feauture on the 3.0 interface...
