Editing the Red Background Error Message

    I found the CSS code to remove the Red Background:

    .form-line-error {
    background:none repeat scroll 0 0;
    }

    However, the result is not equal to the example given in the instructions located at http://www.jotform.com/help/75-Customize-your-Form-using-Custom-CSS-Codes

    The example shows the red message equal to the length of the data field box.
    When I apply the code, the red message field extends to the width of the form.

    How do I edit the length of the message area as shown in the example provided?

    Hi,

    Insert this custom CSS script.

    .form-line-error {

    background: transparent;

    }

    1. Removes the background red.

    Hi,

    In addition to what I have posted earlier if you want to reduce the width of the error message here is the CSS script you need. Here is a sample of the cloned form

    .form-line-error {

    background: transparent;

    }

    .form-error-message {

    width:50% !important;

    }

    .form-textarea{

    width:75% !important;

    }

    Let me know if have other questions.

    Thanks,
