JotForm PDF Editor::The user wants to customize the distance between questions similar to the Online Form Builder

the boxes and margins between questions cannot be changed to resemble a traditional form

Thank you for reaching us. You can change the margins similar to the Online Form Builder. To do that, please follow the steps below:

1) Go to the PDF Editor and click on the Brush icon on the right top.

2) Scroll down the page and uncheck the Use default margin settings.

3) Customize as you wish.

For the distance spacing between questions, a feature ticket has been created and escalated to our backend team. You will be notified via this thread if they have any updates.
