Can I limit the amount of orders placed due to set number in stock?

Can I limit the amount of orders placed due to set number in stock?
Ideally I'd like it to show the remaining left on the order form, but I'd at least like it to stop allowing orders after the max orders have been submitted. I can't find the ability to do this, please help!

Hi,

You can use the inventory widget to limit the number of products in stock, but you will need to pass the payment manually to the payment field without using the product field.
