I want to change the payment settings from yearly to one time purchase. Will that cancel any previous payments to ensure it does not recharge these people ?

Changing your payment settings on JotForm will not change any current recurring payments, so you will need to cancel any recurring subscriptions via your payment integration: in this case, Square.
