    Need clairification on Email Alerts - Receiving Notification configurations

    I see no difference with the selections of "Reply-to Email."  Regardless of what is selected, the email contains the same information.

    When I receive notification of a completed form, I see the persons name with MY address.   Shouldn't I see the senders name and THEIR address?   How else am I to reply back to them?

     

    So I am having a little problem in understanding the configurations and how they effect the email received.

    Hello,

    Just to make sure, the reply-to setting should show the selected email field from the form once you click on reply on the email address you-ve received.

    Kindly test that out just to make sure that when you click on reply on the email, the address field of your email is filled with the option you've set it to.

    The Reply To Email is set to “Email”, which I’m expecting is the email entered on the form by the sender.
    If this is correct, then this is NOT working. Selecting Reply in the email sends the form back to me.

    Hi,

    From what I have checked so far, I think the confusion lies on the condition emails used on the form. I am referring to your form https://www.jotform.com/32664297992167 

     

    To clarify, the Sender E-mail ("From" e-mail) value will always be from JotForm (i.e. noreply@jotform.com) or your email account (i.e. SMTP configured) .

    The Sender E-mail will not allow non-verified email account due to security reasons.

    Example, you cannot use any other email address unless you have setup/added this email address in your My Accounts allowed E-mails.

    To better show how the Reply-To E-mail work, I simplified your form and use the default Notification E-mail and use the E-mail field in the Reply-To E-mail.

    This is the notification sent to my e-mail (via Recipient E-mail address). As you can see the "Reply-To" e-mail address is "jonathan@mailcatch.com" -- which was the e-mail address I provided when I test submit the form.
