Why cloning forms generates Username and Password?

Asked by jedcadorna on October 13, 2013 at 03:53 AM

I wonder why cloning form generates a Username and Password. I'm just curious about this since some of the user's says that they did not import such forms. It happen to me before, I've gathered few form links that do exactly the same thing. It generates same form with username and password field. Users account will be automatically suspend just by copying an incorrect form link.

Sample links that will generates Username and Password when cloning.

I've made a short video and here's the link. http://screencast.com/t/rwvoWz4d

You can use "http://www.jotform.com//?formID=32457632963865" to clone a form. It's a private URL for only to use by form owner.

You have to use the public URL of the form such as "http://www.jotform.com/32457632963865"

Our form import feature has an ability to fetch the standard "form" fields in HTML. When you try the URL "http://www.jotform.com//?formID=32457632963865", it only fetches our login form in top right corner (it's an form with username and password )
