Is there a way to set your submission form/email back to default so the hide fields function will work?

Asked by gbodle1972 on October 13, 2013 at 11:01 AM

I didn't realize changing anything on the default email was going to cause the "hide fields" not to work anymore.  Is there a way to set your submission form/email back to default so the hide fields function will work?  Also is there any anticipated date in which users will be allowed to modify the email submissions and the hide fields will still work?

    Thanks

    Thanks for contacting us.

The most recommended way to set your notification back to default is to delete the current edited notifications and to create a new one. Follow the steps on the images to know how to create a new notification:

    1. Click on Setup and Embed tab in the toolbar.

    2. Select Email Alerts.

    3. Then click on Add New Email Button.

You can also find these steps in the next guide, which will give you extra information: Setting Up Email Notifications

Creating new notifications will make the Hide empty fields function works.

Now, about your second questions, your form users will be able to modify the submission they make just after they submit the form and receive the autoresponder email with the Edit Link. However, the email they receive will show the empty fields as the Hide empty fields function does not work with Autoresponder email, it works with Notification emails only (the email you receive).

Please let us know if you need further assistance with this or kindly open a new thread to make nonrelated questions.

    Thanks

Thank you for the response however I'm not sure part of my question was answered with regards to when we will be able to modify the email AND STILL have blank fields hidden.  Is there an estimated timeframe when this will be completed?
