Thank you page needs to be positioned at top...

Asked by skyrun on October 16, 2013 at 05:33 PM

on my form (embedded in page below), the submit button requires scrolling down.  then when the thank you page is displayed, it shows scrolled down, so the page appears blank.  you must scroll up to see it.

the thank you page code should reposition the page to the top when displayed, or make the iframe shorter so that it doens't display a seemingly white page.

Hello, could you post a screenshot of the blank spaces you are having. I cloned your form and tried to submit a test submission but the Thank you page appears to be there.

I also noticed that your Thank You Page Message have duplicate Message input

Please upload your screenshot on this link and attach the link here. Thanks

thanks, i put the 2nd copy of the page on the bottom as a quick and very dirty workaround to this issue.  without it the user sees a white page... at least with it they get a clue there's something there... (see screenshot).

after testing more, i notice now that it happens only on chrome.  on IE, it goes back to the top.  so try chrome and you get this:  notice that i'm scrolled way down on the page (see arrow on right) and that i can just barely see the bottom of my 2nd copy of my page.

Could I get your permission to try submitting using your actual form on your website? I am having different result when using chrome on my cloned form.

    Seems fine and no scrollbars

That's odd I am also using the same Chrome version. Version 30.0.1599.69m. I just sent a test submission with this result. I will try one more if you don't mind with some changes on your thank you message. Thanks

yeah, it's always the way eh? THANKS for your great support trying it
    out...
i upgraded to 30.0.1599.101m just now and same thing happens for me.
you're pressing the submit button using the mouse on the bottom of the
page right? what's happening on mine (still, on chrome only) is that
the scrollbar doesn't move after the thank you page is displayed.
    weird...

Yes I am experiencing it as well. I can see you are using iFrame embed on this. Can I get the exact current embed code that you pasted inside on your joomla website. Thanks

In addition to my comment, I think this may help you.

    http://www.jotform.com/help/6-Adding-Form-to-Joomla

I think Joomla scripts are conflicting with your jotform Iframe and Joomla does not adjust your footer accordingly. It still thinking that the Thank You Message height is the same with the form that is why you have so much whitespace.
