This seems to be an ongoing issue and wondering if there be a resolution.

A second and third notification has been set up following the instructions found elsewhere on the help forum.

    2 things

    1. When going back to edit or review the "email alert" the email address associated with each notification is not visible. Or is the email address visible and I am not looking in the correct spot?

    2. Testing email function ... well it defaults to the email associated with the account. I already know that email works but i want to check the other email addresses without having to submit a form. Spammers --- how about introducing a captcha.

    thanks

    Hello,

    1. When going back to edit or review the "email alert" the email address associated with each notification is not visible. Or is the email address visible and I am not looking in the correct spot?

The email address should be shown inside the Email Alert, within the EMail field that is part of the submissions. Using the noreply@jotform.com & noreply@formresponse.com the email address will not be shown that is coming from that address. To have that functionality you will need to setup Mandrill. i am appending the steps to setup that service below.

    2. Testing email function ... well it defaults to the email associated with the account. I already know that email works but i want to check the other email addresses without having to submit a form. Spammers --- how about introducing a captcha.

Correct, the test button will test connectivity to the registered email. To properly test out the Email Alert, kindly submit a test submission so that the actual functionality of the Email Alert is tested.

    3. Submit but did not pay therefore submission is incomplete and not included in the total tally of forms submitted

Forms wil still be submitted to your account even if the user cancels out from the payment process, or navigates away from that screen prior to the payment.

Do let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you.

    hi

    thanks for the quick reply.

With respect to the #3. During the set up process of a new form, some testing is required for submissions. That is OK because during test mode, the form is set up in as non-secure and up to 100 forms can be submitted under the basic package usage rules. If I can't get the email alerts done correctly in 3 attempts ... then I shouldn't be using this easy to use form making software.

Once the tsting is complete and the form goes live, secure forms are used because that what my audience expects.

    thanks

    Hi Larry,

I do want to thank you for your input. You are correct in regards to how the limit may affect the usability on free accounts.

Do remember you may only need to setup the form once, and the monthly submission reset will revert your amount of secure forms back to 10 available SSL submission on the 1st of every month. If you do need more than 10 secure submission I welcome you to try out one of our premium plans.

Thank you again for input. Do let us know if you need further assistance.
