We would like to use jotform to help clients upload files to our site. How will we know when a file has been uploaded? Is there any information identifying the uploader or is it just a file?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

A file cannot be successfully uploaded unless the form is submitted. Submitting a form triggers the notification emails, if there are any, to be sent to the recipient address you set (which defaults to the address associated to your account).

For more information on how to create and configure notifications, please read these guides:

Is there any information identifying the uploader or is it just a file?

By default, the information filled out in the upload form will be linked to the file in your form's submissions page.

If you have integrated the form with Dropbox, the filled out details will be sent as a pdf file, such as this, together with the file uploaded by the user.

If you have further questions, feel free to ask around the support forum.
