How can I link form submissions?

I have two forms, first is contact infomration. Once submitted it takes them to another URL with another form on it requesting additional infomration. The problem is that I have no way of identifying who submitted the second form because I don't want to ask my customer to imput their contact information in twice.

I tried using a page break but simply pushing the "next" button on the page break does not submit the info that I need (I am affraid that if people see all the additional questions before they submit their contact information, they will leave without submitting the form.)

    Form #1

    Form #2

I have thought of using the unique ID and just setting each to 1 but the numbers will eventually not match up if one person decides not to submit the 2nd form.

    Help please!

You can do this using the Thank You URL of the 1st form to pre-populate the 2nd form with data.

    Please test this demo form.

As you can see from 1st form,

I was able to pre-populate the 2nd form

I achieved this by using the 1st form Thank You Redirect URL and supply the pre-populate URL code for the 2nd form

This is the sample code I used

Inform us if you need further assistance doing this.

thank you for the quick reply. Please allow me to clarify- The forms are
linking correctly. However, the form submissions are not linking. Meaning
when I get the results, I have two different submissions and no way to tell
who sent the second one. Is there anyway that I can track the IP or combine
the submissions without combining the submission pages?

Hello, I would suggest to use the submission ID which can be passed along on the thank you page as well. This would allow you to use an id specific to the submission made on the original form Thus allowing you to differentiate the linked forms.

The handle to use on the Thank you page is {id} for the submission id

Do let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you,.
