table submission column is out of order

    Hi there,

I am experiencing trouble with the form submissions. I have updated our Summer Camp Form for 2021 but the submission that come in still have some of the old verbiage even though it doesn't show when I preview the current form.

My other issue is that when I choose what columns show on the submissions, they are all out of order. How can I refresh or reset the columns so that they show in order of how they are laid out on the form without having to manually do this one by one? I am not sure what box belongs in what order even if I did do it manually. When I first create a form, they are in order on the submission table view but now that they are not, I wanted to know if there was a way to reset this to make sense when we export it into excel (besides manually since it's such a long form).

    Thank you for your help!

    Jesse

    Hi Jesse,

    Happy to help!

To ensure that I'm understanding your questions as clearly as possible:

    1) When you say "form submissions", are you referring to the PDF attachments that are sent to you via email when the form is submitted or the submissions with the JotForm Tables view?

    2) Also, when you say "columns" are you referring to the columns within your JotForm Tables view? The columns should not move when you've set them: is this for a particular form or in general across all forms?

May we have your permission to access the original Tables view of your form to try to replicate the issue? We will not touch your submission data.

    Thank you!

    Yes, the table view.
And columns in the table view, too. I think they were moved once by selecting which ones we wanted and now I wanted to know if they can be reset to be listed in the order they are listed on the form.
    Yes, please do!

    Hi again Jesse,

Thank you for your patience while I looked into this further for you!

I can see what you mean in regards to the columns in the corresponding Table being out of order. With this, you can always drag and drop the columns into the correct order again.

When I looked at your Tables, I see that there are some columns that have been hidden:

Are these some of the columns that may be missing?

If you create a new tab, it should automatically place the columns in the order that they are in the form. Could you attempt this and let us know if the issue persists?

    Thank you!

Thank you. I tried a new tab and the columns are still out of order as well as some old text box options are still available that are no longer on the form anymore (Like camp for $175). Wondering why those aren't going away even though those options have been deleted from the form. I will just manually reorder the best I can.
    Thank you!

You may manually move a column in your table submission to set the correct order.

You may also hide columns in your table by clicking the Columns button and selecting the column to hide.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.
