A form I worked on and saved repeatedly has vanished, and an old form has somehow come back

    Hey all,

I created a multi-conditional form for various types of file upload today and saved it many many times as I worked on it. It,was embedded in my site and working fine after a couple hours of testing. I was logged in the entire time. I am very confused, because I just went back to my site and looked at the form, and it has reverted to an early revision (without any of the work I did today) including the name of the form.

None of the changes I made stuck, even though they were working great as of this afternoon. Is this a known issue? I need to know if this is something that can happen from time to time (i.e., entire forms disappearing without a trace).

Obviously, I need to be able to not worry about the artwork submissions for my business not making it to me, or even being an option for my web customers.

What can you tell me about what happened today?

    Hello Joe,

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.

Have you logged in to your JotForm account from any other location as well? The form will not revert back to its previous version unless and until it is saved. Please ensure that that you have not opened this form in some other browser in edit mode or you don't . click on browser back button and save the form. Please be noted that we have auto save functionality and if this form is loaded in editor of some other browser too, you will be making modifications in your form and the other browser editor will keep reverting the changes back to old version.

As a possible immediate solution, please clone this form which you want to modify and then start working on this cloned version.

If you work on complicated form with lots of fields and conditions, it is advisable to take backup of your form at regular intervals. Once a major work is complete in your form, you should clone it before making changes. This will ensure that you have backups of your form. This guide should help you in form cloning: http://www.jotform.com/help/27-How-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-your-account

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!
