    Hello,

My team just discovered JotForms and we are really excited. We do have a few questions, just so we can figure out how our workflow would look. We currently use Google Forms as a registration form for online courses, which is linked to Google Sheets. We use autocrat and mailmerge to send out course credentials, reminders, certificates of completion, and withdrawal notices.

Do you currently have a way to send emails or text messages through the forms portion of Jotforms? We can't send credentials automatically because we have to create them.

We were also wondering if you have any integration for texting.

    Hi there,

    Happy to help!

In regards to form emails: you can certainly send Notification emails (that will notify you of submissions), Auto Responder emails (that will confirm the submissions with your respondents) and other emails as well. All fully customizable. Here is more information on form-emails. However, if you are looking for email automation within the form builder, we currently do not offer such automation other than what is triggered upon each submission.

While we don't have any direct integrations for text messaging, my colleague had proposed a workaround via Zapier and the app Twilio in this thread: https://www.jotform.com/answers/2258039

"However, as for sending a text message to the phone number your respondents have entered in the Phone Number field on your form, I suggest that you check JotForm and Twilio integration that is available through Zapier.

    https://zapier.com/apps/jotform/integrations/twilio"

Then the only way to trigger the SMS to be sent out through Zapier is to use a JotForm to integrate with Google Docs, (it have column update function) to trigger to Zapier, so the workflow would look like this:

when you update a JotForm ----> Google Docs ---> Zapier ---> Twillio

I hope this helps! We're so glad that you are excited about JotForm, and are here to help. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you!
