Possible to fill out a list of n number of data ?Asked by Morten Schmidt on November 15, 2013 at 02:16 AM
Iam looking for a tool that would allow our customers to enter some simple data ( which you support very nicely ).
But in addition to this they should also be able to fill out a list of data.
Name Email PhoneNumber
This should then result in a csv file or something that could be converted to a csv file.
Is this something that is possible with JotForm ?
For a list of fields you mentioned, you can achieved this by shrinking the fields. Check this guide: Field Positioning
Or, you can use Matrix Tool under Survey Tools to create fields with a table layout.
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact us anytime.
Thanks for your answer, however my issue is that i dont know how many rows my customer would like to enter.
It could be 10 it could be 100.
Thanks for the additional details.
Unfortunately, there is no feature yet on JotForm that lets you add objects on real time that can be set by your users or submitters.
You should set a range of textboxes rather than unlimited rows.
One good example is to use a "Spinner Field"
In here, I precreated a row of Full Name, Email, and Phone Number that makes up 3 rows. I added a Spinner Field which I can set the "Min Value" to 1 and the "Max Value" to 3.
I also separated each rows using "Form Collapse" fields
Then I can set Conditions to show the Form Collapses dynamically based on the Spinner values. Please read more on Show/Hide a form field using conditions.
Here is the example of the Condition I set.
Please see this sample form I made so you can test how this works.
You may also cloen the sample form. Please refer to this user guide How to clone forms from a webpage
If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you
