    Hi people,

I have relised that after I edit a form using the edit link I get a notification with the subjet EDIT (along with all the changes made), which is quite cool actualy.

BUT the customers do no receive any email of confirmation of such changes.

    This is the event

How can I make the customers get a email when I edit a event that they are submitted?

Make sense that the customers also get a notice if changes have been submitted on their booking form.

    Thanks a lot team

    Hi there,

That's possible when you create a notification with an email field tag as the recipient.

    1. First, get the email field tag of your form. Here's how:

    2. Create a new notification (this will served as your form autoresponder)

    3. Open the created notification and paste the copied email field tag on the email recipient box of the new notification created.

Test your form afterwards, it should fire up this notification even on editing the submission using the edit link. The user will be able to received to received this afterwards.

Hope this helps. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your response. I am not sure to get this right.

I already have an autoresponder actived for the users, this is quite simple;  when the user submit a form they get a notification by email as usual. There is not problem here.

What I want is that IF I edit the form they submitted using the EDIT LINK, the user gets a notification/autorresponder again. And this is not hapenning right know.

If I edit the form, and I summited it again using the Edit Link,  I only get my notification. User gets nothing.

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, that's correct and there's no problem with that. That is how "autoresponder" is designed as of the moment. It will not send once an edited submission is submitted again. That is its normal behaviour.

However, to bypass this and in order for the user to get email once an edited submission is re-submitted, you have to replace your autoresponder with a regular notification. Instead of entering the email as the recipient, enter the email field tag e.g. {email} so the user will be able to received an email after re-submitting the edited submission.

So in order to achieve that, just follow my guide above but first, you should delete your autoresponder message since you are going to replace it with a notification. This will served as your autoresponder now since this works both on normal submissions and on edited submissions.

Hope this clarifies a bit. If you have further questions or if you need further assistance with this, let us know here. Thank you!

    Hello thespanishfactory,

Yes it is possible to change the sender information of your notification email. Apart from selecting "", "" or you can also setup a custom "Sender E-mail" option. These guides should help you:

You can also use "Mandrill" to send notification emails form your own email address:

If you do not want to change the "Sender Email" but just need to change the "Sender Name", Here is how you should do it for your notification alert:

    1. Load your form in editor.

    2. Click on "Setup & Embed" and then click on "Email Alerts" on the form toolbar.

    3. Click on one of the notification you have added:

    4. In the "Compose Email" window, click on the "Reply-To and Recipient Settings".

    5. Here you will see option to change the "Sender Name" to one of your own form field. If you do not have any form field, you can add a hidden box question with default value in your form and select that as your sender name.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you!
