I have been scouring the Jotform website and cannot figure out how online forms and PDF forms are integrated. When I create an online form, sometimes I have the option to edit it as both an online form or PDF form, but sometimes the ability to edit as a PDF form goes away.

Then when I am in PDF editor, I can access connected forms. I am so confused as to how these interact together. Can you please point me in the right direction?

Please note that are three different options:

Online form: When you open the form in form editor, it allows you to add form fields to build your web form.

PDF Form: When you go to PDF editor, you have the option to add PDF version of fillable form. When you add a PDF form, it shows you the option to edit as PDF in my forms page. The following guide should help you how to build fillable web form: https://www.jotform.com/help/552-how-to-create-pdf-forms-with-pdf-editor

PDF Document: When you build your web form or PDF form and users submit it, the data can be displayed in a PDF document. You can customize the PDF document to display the submission data. The following guide should help you how to add PDF document: https://www.jotform.com/help/555-applying-form-submission-data-into-a-pdf-document

    Hope this helps.
