Can we make a PDF of a Form Submission and drop it into a client folder on Google Drive?

Asked by office@motherandbabymatters.com on November 22, 2013 at 11:29 AM

I am just starting to use your software so I am a newbie but was wondering a couple of things:

    1.  We have an intake form that interested clients complete.   If they decide to register we then need them to complete a registration form (I still need to build that form on your site), my question is - can we pre-populate the registration form with the necessary information that they have already completed on the intake form?

    2.  If they become clients, we then create a client file for them in Google Drive - is there a way we can take a copy (ex. PDF) of both their Intake form and Registration form and put it (drag and drop it) into their client file for our records on Google Drive?

    Thanks,

Hello Sahar, I would be more than happy to answer your Questions.

    1.  We have an intake form that interested clients complete.   If they decide to register we then need them to complete a registration form (I still need to build that form on your site), my question is - can we pre-populate the registration form with the necessary information that they have already completed on the intake form?

Our Forms do support a Pre-Population ability from One Form to Another. I believe that this should be feasible using Pre-Population via URL Parameters.

    2.  If they become clients, we then create a client file for them in Google Drive - is there a way we can take a copy (ex. PDF) of both their Intake form and Registration form and put it (drag and drop it) into their client file for our records on Google Drive?

As for the Merging of Files and Submissions into Google Drive. You can use the Google Drive Option and this will automatically gather any generated information and files from your Registration Form. As long as you don't do anything to Modify the way it works with the connection between your Registration Form and Google Drive I think that it should be relatively safe to drag-n-drop the Intake Information into there as well so that you can retain your Organization Level.

I did a test of this just now to check on the ability for this and it works with no issues. I set the Google Drive Integration to Autoname the Folders with a First and Last Name so in this case it was " Test Test " and the second try after being " Test 1 Test 1 " for the next person. For " Test Test " I after Submission of the Registration Form I then dragged a New PDF labeled " Test Test - Intake.pdf " from my PC Desktop and copied it into the Matching Person Folder. Then I used the second person" Test 1 Test 1 " to Submit a Second Submission for a Second Test Person to check to see if the Data would still work afterwards and it did.

Feel free to try it for yourself. I've set this link to my Google Drive in Shared Mode for the Folder Matching the Form that it is Integrated with.
