Is there a way to integrate coupons for SUBSCRIPTION products?Asked by ptw on November 22, 2013 at 05:03 PM
Is there a way to integrate coupons for SUBSCRIPTION products? it would make sense to have the ability to have the 1st length of time at a discount, and then the following lengths of time at regular price. Such as "1st month 1/2 off"
You can set the "1st length of time at a discount" using the 1st payment and Trial period options in the Subscription payment form.
Tell us if this cannot work for what you need.
Not really, i tried to say the first payment being -$150 (negative $150) which would have give me the result im looking for which is:
An introductory price of $99/year - and then year two and there after would be $249 is what i was looking for. Coupons would be great so that i can offer different rates to people
Thank you for taking the time to update us about this.
At the moment, I could not find anymore suitable suggestion or workaround to compensate for the lacking of coupons in Subscription payment.
At the most, you can swtich your subscription to products instead to have coupons -- but that will not be a scheduled or recurring payments since it is not a subscription type.
I will also submit your idea to our development team as a feature request -- Subscription product with Coupons.
I cannot give you any guarantee if this will be approved or if and when it will be implemented.
But we will notify you via his thread and in your e-mail whatever status it may have.
If you are using regular Paypal to accept payments for subscriptions, I would like to inform you that subscription coupons are now available for that particular payment gateway.
You may now choose to offer 50% off of the first payment for all or selected subscription items.
Kindly try it out if this is what you need, then let us know if you have comments or suggestions.
Your feedback is highly appreciated.
