Form share on social media: Is there a way to edit or translate the link "click here to complete this form"?

    Hi,

    Please check out the attached file.

    My target users are Japanese people.

    They do not understand English.

    When posting a link to any of my jotform, a message appears in English, saying "click here to complete this form".

    Also it says jotform.com at the bottom.

    Is there a way to edit the English message so that it can be in Japanese?

    Also, since I am a paying member and paying members can choose "no jotform branding", I think it should be possible to avoid showing the jotform.com at the bottom. (see the red square in the picture. )

    Hello Bjorn,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please note that the JotForm name on the form URL can only be removed if you use custom domains on your URL or if you embed the form on any webpage and share that web page link. When you use a paid subscription, only the JotForm branding/ad that appears at the end of the form gets removed.

    (Note: custom domains can only be used on JotForm Enterprise accounts: https://www.jotform.com/help/144-how-to-use-custom-domains-with-jotform-enterprise)

    Now regarding the phrase "Please click the link to complete the form" that appears when you share the form via Facebook or Whatsapp, it cannot be translated or changed at the moment.

    We can escalate that as a feature request though. However, could you let us know on which platform you are sending the form URL?

    It has been some years since I asked about the possibility to edit the message "Please click here to complete this form".


    I want to be able to edit this. My target customer are Japanese and it should be better if I could have the similar message in Japanese.


    Did you escalate this to a feature request? I will post the link on various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Google ads, and LINE. (a japanese platform), and on own blog (www.hiraieikaiwa.com).

    Looking forward to hearing from you on this.

    Futher more, I think it is really sad to see how Jotform treat its customers.

    I am a paying user since many years and I assume many of people on this forum who request the feature to edit the meta description also are paying users.

    Jotform market itself as being user friendly, creating forms should not be difficult and you would not need programming knowledge.

    I have looked around on the forum and I see quite many people asking for this feature.

    The standard answer from the support is that either

    1) you can download the source code, edit the code and host the form on your own server.

    How many of us, using the paid version of Jotform can actuall do this? This is not user friendly at all.

    2) The suppors says they can escalate this feature request to the developers if many people have the same requests.

    I have requested this feature since five years ago, I see many people also requested this feature in 2021, year 2022 and 2023.

    But will the support ever escalate it?

    I think many people just give up because they do not see it happening.

    Other form builders have this feature and why cannot Jotform have it?

    In our last response, we wanted to know some additional platform information from you before we could escalate the feature request, but we never received a response after that.

    I've now gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll follow up on this thread and let you know.

    Sorry to say, but it is difficult to believe that jotform ever will improve this.

    Other users have asked for this change to since a couple or years ago.

    ..and yet no change....

    I still hope jotform will be able to approvce on this.

Unfortunately, as my colleague stated, it depends on the workload of the Developers, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it.
