    Disable Go Button

Asked by richardkaplan on December 01, 2013 at 10:44 AM
Is there a way I can disable the Go button in an Android browser when entering a form?
The Go button submits a form but that can be misinterpreted by a user who instead simply wants the virtual keyboard to close
    Thanks

My limited research on this so far indicates that a script may have to be used to circumvent this behavior. If this is the case, you would need to get the full source of the form and embed it into a web page of your own and add the script to the same page. Would this be a viable option for you?

Thanks but that would not be a viable option as it would make it so much more complex to edit forms

But this question isn't unique to just me - surely it affects many many customers who use your forms.  Actually the same issue with a "Go" button happens on both iOs and Android.  Aren't there customers whose clients fill in forms and accidentally hit the Go button regularly and wind up submitting a form prematurely?   Why isnt' this more of a widespread questiion?

To prevent forms to be submitted accidentally we recommend to add a captcha field.

That can be a viable option if that is what actually you want to accomplish to
