My BOX Authentication is not working. How can I authenticate?

Asked by omliving on December 03, 2013 at 05:39 PM

When I click authenticate - I am brought to the BOX log page. There I fill in my username and password. Sometimes it says wrong username or password and sometimes it bounces me back to the Jot Form original authentification box to start over. The username and password are correct.

What can do to fix this?

    Thanks!

    fill bounces thanks

    Hi,

I am not able to reproduce the same issue when I tested.

Please see the series of screens below when I was testing the integration

    Can you please try again.

If you are encountering problem on the authentication process, you can logged in first to your account in Box.net website, and then try the form integration procedures.

Please inform us if issue remains.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your help!

I used Google Chrome and it worked differently. It said their was not form to link to it. I didn't know that I am supposed to do this per form vs. my whole account. I opened an editing space of a form and went through the process and it worked.

I tested the whole process and the folders to my forms have not appeared in my box yet with the form entries inside.

Is there anything more I need to know about how Jot Form creates the form folder in my BOX? Where it will be found? How much time it takes for it to appear there?

    Thanks so much!

Yes Vanessa, They are similar because they work close to the doing the same thing. However, they are also yet different because they are both entirely separate platforms which are being used.

I used Google Chrome and it worked differently. It said their was not form to link to it. I didn't know that I am supposed to do this per form vs. my whole account. I opened an editing space of a form and went through the process and it worked.

I don't yet know of us having an Ability to do this with your Entire Account as a Whole. It is only currently done per form. The reason for this is because it's difficult to predict how many forms each account has which is why it's only done on a per form basis since it may be necessary for one form but not another. This may work for someone say with a few forms on their account but for someone with a vast amount of forms it could become catastrophic with unforseen issues at that rate if any.

I tested the whole process and the folders to my forms have not appeared in my box yet with the form entries inside.

I checked your form. I believe you were trying to connect this with your box account on this form here https://www.jotform.com/33365996303966, correct? After inspecting this it does not look like this was ever connected. I would advise clearing your form cache then you may also need to clear your browser cache and try again. When the Integration is successful it will remain attached to your form and your box account or whichever account and it will display a message saying you are " Connected ".

As you can see in the Image below when I checked it there is nothing showing that you are connected so this is why nothing is happening or coming through to your Box Account or even Google.

This is what it should look like if it's " Connected ".

Is there anything more I need to know about how Jot Form creates the form folder in my BOX? Where it will be found? How much time it takes for it to appear there?

Once the Integration is connected correctly the rest will fall into place. It's important to finish out the Integration Setup for Box otherwise this will not work at all. You can also choose from settings to set up how your Data is sent to Box and once the Integration is successful the Integration Wizard will walk you through this too. It's important to follow the Wizard's Setup Steps then click Finish and Save then you should be fine.

Great! Thank you for your help!

It is now working on the form submissions are going to box. I check in the Integration Wizard to confirm this and it shows now it is connected.

Where can I create my settings for how the Form Submissions are organized in BOX?

Right now this is what is happening:

My form name is Sleepytime Session...

Jot Form created a Sleepytime Session folder

Inside the folder - when a submission is made a new folder appears, inside there is a PDF of the submission.

How can set this up so that the Form Submission is in a PDF form only? And not creating a new folder each time?

Ideally this would be my preferred set up:

    The Original Sleepytime Session Folder

Inside - with a each new submission a PDF is added.

    or

Inside with each new submission a PDF is added. When a person resubmits a form a folder is made to hold all of their submissions.

Is either of these set ups possible? Any way to not have a new folder each time?

    Thanks!

The folder option can be set during integration.

You can re-integrate your form with the Box service and set the 'Submission Folder' to '--No Folder--'.

This will store all the PDFs in one folder.

    Thank you.

    One more question-

The Sleepytime Session folder inside of BOX had to moved to live inside another folder.

When I received more Sleepytime Session submissions they did not go inside the original Jot Form created folder. Instead it made a new folder and placed the PDF's inside.

Am I not allowed to move the Jot Form folder from it's original location? Is there a way I can move it so it is in my customer service folder?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

If you are referring to the Folder Name -- it is the submissions "root folder"

While the Submissions Folder -- will be a sub-folder below the root folder.

If your intention is to move the root folder as a sub-folder, it will not work.

Everytime the form is submitted, the assigned Folder Name will be created again if it does not exists on the root location.

If you look at it, I think the configuration can already work for what you need. Here's how I understand it.

    1. Create a Customer Service folder - a root folder

    2. Assign your customer names/ID/flag as the submission folder. The submissions folder will then become the sub-folder

Hope this help. Inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I created a Customer Service folder and entere it as the root folder. Though the forms are not going in.

It is now making a new folder with the root folders name in main BOX area and not becoming a subfolder in the Customer Service root folder I create to house the form folder.

I am wondering if I understand what you mean by "Assign you customer names/ID/flag as the submission folder." Can you explain this in greater detail? Is there something I am not doing correctly?

    Thanks!

    Hi Vanessa,

There's no way you can sync form submissions into a custom created folder with Box.net Integration. All folders are automatically created by the integration.

I am wondering if I understand what you mean by "Assign you customer names/ID/flag as the submission folder." Can you explain this in greater detail? Is there something I am not doing correctly?

-If you will assign Submission Folder (this can be the field coming from your form), i.e:

...your Box.net Sync output  would be like this:

Let us know if you need further assistance.
