Hide text and open it on click (widget)?

Asked by patrick1230 on December 04, 2013 at 07:26 AM

Hey there, i would like to know, if there is any widget where I can let pop up text on click for example:

Artist (if click then show text: "An artist is a person engaged in one or more of any of a broad spectrum of activities related to creating art, practicing the arts, and/or demonstrating an art. The common usage in both everyday speech and academic discourse is a practitioner in the visual arts only. The term is often used in the entertainment business, especially in a business context, for musicians and other performers (less often for actors). "Artiste" (the French for artist) is a variant used in English only in this context. Use of the term to describe writers, for example, is certainly valid, but less common, and mostly restricted to contexts like criticism.")

Comedian ( if click then show text:

A comedian (comedienne for females) or comic (a professional comedian/comedienne) is a person who seeks to entertain an audience, primarily by making them laugh. This might be through jokes or amusing situations, or acting a fool, as in slapstick, or employing prop comedy. A comedian who addresses an audience directly is called a stand-up comic.)

So im able to save space and in my opinion it look's really nice. I guess it's called "showtext() in Javascript.

    Best regards,

    Hi Patrick,

We have a feature called conditional logic where you can create a condition in your form like "hide/show a form field" in order to achieve that in your form.

You might like to take a look at this demo form: http://www.jotform.co/form/33373748259869

To achive that, please follow this simple steps:

    1. Use Drop Down field for options and Text field for detailed information about your options.

    2. Create a condition in your form "Show/Hide a form field"

Hope you find this helpful. Feel free to contact us again if you need further assistance.
