How do I get my embedded video to autoplayAsked by metrocorephone on December 16, 2013 at 12:50 PM
I am trying to get a video to autoplay based on a conditional statement.
Can you help with the code for this.
Thanks for contacting us. It seems that you have used the Text(HTML) to embed your Photobucket video. We already have a Photobucket widget which you can embed as a field on your form. Unfortunately, I tried to research how to autoplay to Photobucket videos but such feature is not supported by Photobucket. I tried to add an autoplay="true" on your embed code but with no luck of getting it to work.
We also have a number of video embed widgets on JotForm by browsing our Widget Gallery for Videos.
If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you
In addition to my colleagues response to this I also researched this along with testing the code using various autoplay techniques. According to my findings unfortunately this is currently not possible with the use of Photobucket's Video Code due to the way it is scripted.
Additionally there is an Flash Embed Widget as well in case you wish to stick with a flash video. But should you want to make it Autoplay then as far as I know you will most likely want to consider moving the file either to Youtube or somewhere else that allow you to set it up that way better to make the video have that sort of functionality in my opinion.
Here's how you can do this more easily with Youtube in Example: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780?hl=en. However, I believe it is also possible to set it up in the video's settings as well.
Thanks for your help but I refused to give up and I finally found the right
code. Here is.
Add to the end of the video suffix.
Check this out. It really makes our safety form meaningful.
Thank you for sharing the info to us.
I checked your form http://jotformpro.com/form/21976743598977 and indeed the embedded photobucket video auto plays.
We're glad to know that you're able to make this work.
Please contact us again anytime for any other assistance needed.
