Request: The capability to autofill the whole form using previous information that was submitted

Asked by dorsetholidaylets on December 17, 2013 at 07:42 AM
    Hi Guys,

When do you hope to implement  Google Chrome autofill of peoples details (address and email etc) it make completing a form so quick.

Back in January 2012 you said you would consider it once it was stable, which it is now.

Also what about enabling address look up when somone enters their Post Code?

    Regards

Thanks for contacting us. I believe I already have an AutoFill feature.

Edit your form and navigate to "Setup & Embed" tab> Preferences.

Preferences Window should popup. Go to "Advanced Settings" tab and you will see the "Edit Auto Fill Settings"

This should retain the previously entered data. All data will be saved on the Browser side so whenever you fill up a new entry using the same browser those common data will be filled. Clearing the cookies and caches on the browser will delete those data. Furthermore, using a different computer or browser will prevent you from taking advantage of this feature.

We also have a feature that saves the data and continue filling the form for later. This is not restricted on a browser. Please refer to this user guide How to Save Forms to Continue Later if this is what you are trying to accomplish.

Also what about enabling address look up when somone enters their Post Code?

Please create another separate thread using this link for this inquiry as it is unrelated to the original question. Thank you

Hi, I know you have the auto fill when you continue the form later, I was asking if you can implement the standard Google Chrome auto fill which is enabled by Google Chrome and speeds up filling in forms since as soon as you start to type your name, Google chrome knows who you are and fills in surname, email and your address.

    Thanks.

So, basically what you need is the capability that if the entry of the first form field coincides with a previous one, it will autofill your form all at once using all the previous information used. Is that correct?

So, currently our autofill feature does not work in that way, however, I have forwarded you request to our dev team so that they can consider your suggestion.

We cannot promise you anything about this implementation, so, we need to wait for our dev team response. Once we have any useful information about this, we will upadate you viat this thread.

    Thanks
