    capitalization in Responder and notification

    Asked by mgcaledonian13 on December 21, 2013 at 04:58 AM

    I have built my form and have now discovered that "Capitalization" can be achieved but I cannot see how to add it to the fields. i am able to add "capitalization" at the entry point but as some one pointed out it does not capitalize the Notification or the Responder, I found this posting http://www.jotform.com/answers/68930-Auto-responder and it is quite clear what you have to do but the layout they show has been replaced with the HTML and text version. Their layout does appear at first but when altered it disappears. How do I get back to it to add the "capitalization",  do I have to start again?

    I have this in my editor ...

    A booking has been sent for the {form_title}

    Membership Number
    {membershipNumber}

    Driver {fullName1}

    {address9:addr_line1}
    {address9:addr_line2}
    {address9:city}

    {address9:postal} .......

    Can you help please, thanks.

    Hello, mgcaledonian13.  You will need to edit your autoresponder email settings and add CAPITALIZE: in every placeholder/variable for the contents to convert the 1st letter of the string to be capitalized.

    If you tried doing this before, please do make sure you were able to click the finish button of the autoresponder email settings and that you have saved your form.

    Upon checking, it seems that you might have forgotten to save your autoresponder email settings.

    If you need further assistance, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

    liyam you made a good suggestion but what I discovered is that the word "CAPITALIZE" must be in Uppercase is that correct?  "uppercase" is used in the placeholder/variable in lowercase and works. Is CAPITALIZE the only one in uppercase?

    Yes, you can either use "uppercase" or  "CAPITALIZE"  both should work

    The answer is "yes" but yes to what part. I posted this badly there were two questions, so is the answer "either UPPERCASE or uppercase can be used in this situation' Sorry that was very badly worded, I am not sure that I understand the original question now myself.

    One question per post in future:-)

    This guide should help: Capitalizing the First Letter of Every Word of the E-mail Response.

    All Caps for the word. :) So, must be: CAPETALIZE

    Thanks
