    Form Not Rendering on Mobile

    Asked by GordonDefense on December 21, 2013 at 08:36 AM

    We have a form that is inserted at http://www.prisology.org/action.html. The form renders fine on desktop and iPad. However, it does not render properly on iPhone. The site is built with IM Creator, and they insist there are no problems on their end. Attached is a screenshot of what the form looks like on mobile. You cannot see some it, nor can you see the information fields or submit button.

    Kindly try embedding the form to your website using the iframe code first. Do let us know if the issue persists, thank you.

    We embedded as an iFrame, and that does not correct the problem.

    I have also injected this code into the form, and it does not help.

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){

    .form-textbox, .form-textarea {

    width:200px !important;

    min-width:200px !important;

    max-width:200px !important;

    }

    .form-label-left {

    float: left;

    }

    }

    We also attempted this code, and it does not work either.

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){.form-label-left, .form-label-top{float: left !important;display:inline !important;}.form-all{width:420px !important;}.form-buttons-wrapper{text-align:left;margin-left:91px !important;}.form-submit-button{line-height:10px !important;}}

    We have also tried this custim Iframe code:

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="//form.jotform.co/form/33524667626865" frameborder="0" style="width: 100%; height: 3500px; border: none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

    We have also made sure to clear the cache on an actual iphone and the problem persists. We have tested the page at issue via iPhone web simulators, and there are no issues on those sites and are thus not representative.

    This issue is only happening with iPhone. Other mobile devices are working, and the form renders properly on iPad.

    Hello GordonDefense.  I'm suspecting that it may have something to do with the set height on your web page from the meta tags which is 2500px.  Can you increase that to 3000px to test if it will show half of your form at least?

    Thanks.

    The whole form will show at 3000 px. However, there is a ton of empty white space on PC, other browsers, and Mac. In addition, we did this using the IM Creator Jot Form widget instead of Iframe because with iframe you have to stretch the page even more.

    There has to be a better solution.

    It appears to me this could very well be the caused by certain Divs on your site. As I verify this, kindly try accessing your form's direct URL and verify how the form (not embedded to the page) displays on your phone.  Thank you.

    The direct link to the form displays properly, so it probably is the Divs. Any sugggestions that you might be able to provide?

    I will be testing further the divs on your site, if I do find a way to over come this. I will let you know through this thread. Thank you.
