How to Auto Record MP3 File Name from MP3 Playlist?

Asked by Thorin on December 22, 2013 at 11:12 AM

    Hi,

mp3 play list + auto-record file-name of mp3 when user submits + no submission possible before 2 minutes

I have got many mp3 in a database that users should evaluate with Jotform. I want 1 single Jotform to play mp3s randomly, and automatically store the file name of the mp3 along with/in the Jotform. So that I can see the file name in the Jotform submissions sent by users.

In addition, submission should only be possible 2 minutes after the user saw the Jotform the first time.

    Can Jotform perform these functions?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi J,

I want 1 single Jotform to play mp3s randomly, and automatically store the file name of the mp3 along with/in the Jotform.

The form will not actually be able to stream your mp3 audio file, so I am not sure how you meant to achieved this.

What I suggest you can do is provide a link from a different website page where user can stream the mp3 audio, and then add the mp3 names as lists in your JotForm form where user can rate/evaluate them accordingly. Then the user can submit the form with the answers/results.

In addition, submission should only be possible 2 minutes after the user saw the Jotform the first time.

Can you please elaborate this further?

    Thanks.

    Thank you.

"In addition, submission should only be possible 2 minutes after the user saw the Jotform the first time." With this I mean, that it should not be possible to submit the form before 2 minutes have passed. So, go to website where Jotform is placed, but user now has to wait 2 minutes before he can submit.

Thanks for the additional information. Unfortunately, that can't be done in our form builder.

The possible way to achieve that is to get your form source codes and add a custom script to the codes that would disable the submit button for a certain timeframe. Then, you would have to host the source codes directly into your page because there is no way you can save it back to our form builder.

Let us know if you want this method so we can proceed. We also suggest to finalize your form into our form builder before doing this method so to avoid from going back and forth with the changes.

    Thanks

Thanks for the answers. I dont know if that would suit me best.

I have got many mp3 files that users need to evaluate. Jotform is a great way to do that. However, I need a way to link the file-name of the mp3 with Jotform, so that in Jotform I will see which mp3 has been evaluated. I need a way to link the mp3s with the Jotform. And users shouldnt be able to modify that connection (cheating).

This is quite difficult to achieve. If you know of a solution that could achieve this, let me know.
