Feature Request Please - Ability/Possibility to preload alphanumeric pincodes (such as those from prepaid scratch cards)

Asked by pierangela on January 06, 2014 at 08:47 AM

Dear jotform, I am creating a new thread per the request of Welvin.

I would really like to see this feature made since you pretty much already have the necessary elements to complete it already programmed into other features of jotform (see below):

first: you already have ability for a user to copy/paste a list of options that later get turned into answers a respondent can select from a form/survey.

second: you already have the ability to recognize coupon codes against a database of preloaded coupon codes

I have a big project in 2014 and it would be a life saver if you could make this pincode feature available. If I could be able to do something as simple as copy a few thousand unique Pincodes from an excel file (provided by my prepaid card printing company) so that users/respondents who fill out a jotform to "purchase" a digital product can punch in the unique pincode they got from their prepaid scratchcard, the database knocks that pincode out of the list as a "used code" already, and can notify me each time a pincode activation is made.

I have copied the original question back in June 20, 2013 I made about this. I would love to see this as a feature.

    thanks

Ability/Possibility to preload alphanumeric pincodes in the backend of a jotform? (Private)

Asked by pierangela on June 20, 2013 at 03:35 PM

Dear Jotform, I have a need and I hope I can solve it with you. I wish that, similarly to how I can preload a list of countries, for instance, to create a dropdown menu for my jotform, that I could preload a list of many different alphanumeric pincodes that would reside in the backend of my jotform, invisible to the user that is filling out the form, with the purpose of having such user(s) have to fill in a field with one of these pincodes in order to be able to get hisform submission accepted. The idea is that we would provide this pincode to a customer/user each time they purchase a product from us, or obtain it from a scratch-off prepaid card, for example. Can I do this with Jotform
    thank you

    Hello Gina,

Thank you for creating a new thread.

If I understand your requirement correctly, you have basically two requirements:

    1. Ability to import hundreds / thousands of pin codes / coupon codes in your form.

    2. Identify the pin codes / coupon codes as single use codes.

I am creating a feature request ticket and sending it to our back end team. Please be informed that creating a feature request ticket does not assure that this particular feature will get implemented. It completely depends upon the priority and feasibility.

We will get back to you as soon as we have any information on this.

    Thank you!

Hey @aytekin since you were so cool in helping sort out the Voice Recording widget problem, I would REALLY LOVE if you can look into this request I ORIGINALLY put in like a year ago, and more recently a few months ago that I re-tried it again. thanks!!!

    @pierangela

Sorry but we do not have updates about this yet.

I do understand that this is a nice addition but we are also considering the number of users requesting the same feature before our developers will consider the request. Sorry though but this feature request is currently marked with low priority for now, however, I'm sure once they heard similar requests from different users, they will surely implement this the soonest time possible.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    I

saw that there was integrations with google forms, and CRM, if you do not have this feature what would prevent a jot form integrated with salesforce.com from creating duplicate records?

I also have a project that will require some validation through a customer ID, how can we get this feature added to Jotform.

I would need to add several customer ID´s and have jotform ping or verify if the ID is correct inorder to proceed.  I would like to use salesforce.com or google docs if this feature cannot be used.

How soon can we get this feature added?
