Parallel approvals can be setup to have 2 outcomes?

The guide for parallel approvals shows just 1 outcome. If there are 2 possible outcomes (accepted, not accepted) does there need to be more than 1 merge branch? I can't connect the approval step twice to the merge branch.

Yes, you can achieve that. Just add another merge branch for your other outcome.
